About Me

Hello, I’m Kris McCabe.

Certified Salesforce Consultant/Sales Performance & Behavioural Coach by day.

Husband, Blogger, and Scouting Volunteer by night.

My Origin Story.

I was born in Rochford, Essex into a family of technologists – before the internet was cool.

Growing up, we moved around a lot. Therefore, I don’t have a ‘home town’. But if someone was to ask me, I would say Witham, Essex – being this was where I stayed the longest and finished my education.

This has led to a mashed up English accent that’s sounds Australian to most. But I am definitely British.

Later on in life, I moved to Swindon, Wiltshire for a job. Having stayed there for 7 years, I met my wonderful wife Natalie and we got married in June 2017. We now live happily in Reading, Berkshire.

As I grow older, I am finding that I have accumulated a lot of experience and wisdom on a wide range of topics.

I am a life-long learner and I feel its important to share what we know, whether it is an opinion, a point of view, or perhaps a lesson that should be learned to prevent others from making the same mistakes.

And this is why I created this personal website with a blog that I hope you will enjoy reading.

Finding my career as a leading Salesforce Consultant.

I started my career within internal sales, then moved on to account/customer management using hard-to-use CRM’s.

One fateful day, my Sales Director appointed me to “look after the CRM” and improve it to help my fellow sales teammates. Fast forward a few CRM’s and projects later, I found Salesforce in 2013.

With the help of a project team, I led my first successful Salesforce greenfield implementation that revolutionised the way sales teams and customers engaged with the business.

Since then, I have changed careers to become an implementation expert in Salesforce and a behavioural coach to help sales leaders develop the right high-value behaviours to maximise productivity and revenue.

Whilst Salesforce is my platform of choice, I am also an expert with NetSuite and developing integrations with a range of other apps.

Currently, I work for an award-winning Salesforce ISV Partner called CloudApps as Senior Consultant & Customer Success Manager.

Being a life-long scouter.

I’ve been in scouting for over 25 years. It all started when a school friend encouraged me to join my local Cub Scout pack at 1st Rayne Scout Group.

Scouting has helped me develop skills for life that have shaped me as a person. This is where I got my passion for doing outdoor activities such as Walking, Archery, Rifle Shooting, Camping, and going on adventures abroad.

I’ve held strategic leadership roles to develop young people and provide direction to large teams of volunteers in Wiltshire and Berkshire for over 10 years.

I am currently the Local Training Manager for Reading, responsible for the learning development of >1,000 volunteers and leading the local training team.

When I am not managing teams, I am delivering leadership & management skills training nationally to scouting volunteers and provide coaching/mentoring skills to other trainers.

I hold a number of National Governing Body qualifications to instruct activities such as Archery, Rifle Shooting, Fencing, and Rope Courses. I also volunteer as a National Scout Adventurer (Outdoor Activity Instructor) for Scout Adventures in Oxford and Gilwell Park.
